Disney's Contemporary Resort

I should start by saying I've only stayed at value resorts. The fanciest resort I've stayed at is Art of Animation. My bff and I were only here for 2 days to celebrate being bffs for 15 "ears" and decided to stay club level. It. Was. PHENOMENAL!!! The room, the food, the service! We can't ever go back again (and I LOVE Art of Animation)! Ms. Ginnie was the best concierge there! Tyler was one of the food hosts and he was so friendly! We will definitely be back to stay club level! You'll also get great views of the MK fireworks from the 14th floor. All in all, if you're able to, I highly recommend you stay deluxe/club level at least once!

The location is the main draw of this hotel, followed by the rooms. It is a really quick walk to the park, and the monorail back to the hotel is a quick one-stop that stops literally right inside the hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious and the sound proofing is pretty good. The amenities are a little disappointing though - for that price point, I was hoping for at least some more premium amenities, but you're not getting anything different from the cheaper hotels. Nonetheless, we had a terrific stay and loved how we could see the park from the beds!

I have always wanted to stay here but we usually choose BC. Rooms here are larger than most. We were is garden wing. They added many great features with the recent refurb. The lighting is fantastic!! I am particular about lighting and I was so impressed. I appreciated the great storage spaces, drawers, and large stand up shower, and water closet. The mattresses were super comfortable as well. My adult daughter was skeptical before arriving due to some social media posts but she absolutely loved it. One issue is with all the Disney rooms- having beverage cooler instead of mini frig. At deluxe price point should need to have a cooler for the dairy items and perishables. The cooler is very shallow 6-8" depth. Another thing that could be improved is having filtered water at the refill station. The tea tasted "off" there. When we were at the qs place at AKL jambo, the tea tasted normal. Not sure why some places have filtered or non filtered but you could sure tell. You can't beat the convenience of the Contemporary location especially if you are heading to MK. Epcot is easy too riding monorail without need to fold strollers. Getting there is quicker than returning as the ride includes stops at other monorail resorts. We will def stay here again!

Beautiful Hotel. 10 minute walk from Magic Kingdom! Rooms were clean and beautiful. We paid for a resort view, but got a view of the fireworks over Space Mountain! Also, so many food options and access to the Monorail!

We loved our stay at the Contemporary Hotel. Room was spacious and well suited to 3 Adults. We loved the access to the monorail and whilst busy at times we never waited long. You just need to remember that it is the last stop. We ended up walking to Magic Kingdom as this was much quicker. The quick room check-in through the app is great, but we may have missed some welcome information especially as this was our first visit. It was fantastic to be able to checkout on the app. We loved the luggage transfer between Disney hotels but would have been better if the automatically sent your bag to your room. Facilities are fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed here a year ago. Amazing location close to MK. Pool is nothing special. Theming is subtle and less crowded that other luxury resorts. My parents loved this hotel because it was a bit more quiet and "less busy" than the Polynesian for example. Steakhouse 71 is really good, especially for breakfast. These rooms are among the largest standard accommodations on Disney property, often including two queen beds and a daybed. While the main tower rooms offer balconies with views of either Bay Lake or the Magic Kingdom fireworks, the Garden Wing rooms provide a more budget-friendly entry point, though they lack balconies and require a longer walk to the main building. Dining is a major highlight of the resort. Options range from the lively character breakfast at Chef Mickey’s to the upscale California Grill on the top floor, which offers panoramic views of the park. Steakhouse 71 has also become a popular choice for its high-quality menu at a more accessible price point. The main drawback is the atmosphere, which can feel busy and loud due to the open-air concourse and the constant movement of the monorail and crowds. Additionally, the pool area is relatively simple compared to the themed water features found at other deluxe resorts like the Polynesian or Beach Club. For guests who prioritize ease of access to Magic Kingdom and modern amenities, the Contemporary should be a top choice.

Since this is a deluxe Disney resort, guests get a two hour extended evening benefit when staying there. There are buses to the other Disney resorts and Disney parks. The monorail goes right through the resort - very convenient! Or if you want to walk, it’s only about a 10 minute walk to Magic Kingdom. Our room had a nice view and was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again, but would make sure that it was a two queen bed room. I stayed there with my son who is 5’10”. The room they gave us was a king bed room with a small sofabed. The sofabed was too small for him, so I let him have the King bed. The sofabed was not super comfortable to sleep on as it was too short for me and I’m only 5’4”.
